PRO3, is derived from Akribio's well-accepted product PRO7 (7-Channel Parametric Reaction Optimizer). This derivative is a bench-top instrument in a compact 16"x19" footprint. PRO3 specifically meets the needs of reaction scales of 500, 300, 250, and 100mL and features:
- 3 independent isothermal chambers able to hold the temperature at any point between -10~165oC with rate controlled heat- and cool-ramping capabilities up to 5 thermal stages for 40 hours.
- Computer operated temperature control and recording.
- 2 independent gas lines with pressure regulation and flow adjustment capability.
- A vacuum manifold to connect to a vacuum line.
- Degas, solvent removal by vacuum concentration and dry.
- Automatic digital documentation capabilities.
- Accessibility via the Internet for distant monitoring.
- Specifications can further be modified according to user's specific needs.
Moreover, Akribio is able to delivers each unit of PRO3 and associated pictorial-interface software, PRO3-PIN, according to user-defined configuration and specifications. For example, a user can specify the preferred sequence, layer and layout of the interface, and Akribio will modify both the interface software and the firmware of instrument accordingly to meet those needs.
PRO3 Specifications
PRO3 can simultaneously and autonomously conducts 3 reactions under entirely different conditions according to user specified procedures
- Temperature can be held at any point between -10° and 165°C for 40 hours.
- Temperature control can be set up in (up to) 5 stages.
- User chooses to control the temperature of reaction mixture or that of the reactor.
- Heating speed can be controlled to generate specified time-temperature profile.
- Time-temperature data is recorded in real-time; up to 5 recording sections can be specified with various data sampling rates.
- Time-sequence control of magnetic or overhead stirrer with various, up to 1,500 rpm, speed settings.
- Separated inert and vacuum lines preventing cross contamination; 2 inert gas inlets for nitrogen, argon and any other gas together with a vacuum manifold with 2 outlets and stopcocks.
3 independent built-in controllers are able to communicate with PC
- Each consists of a CPU, a set of memory chips, and a thermo-sensor.
- Each controller records time-temperature data in real-time.
- All data is saved in memory chips and is sustained during accidental power failure; controllers will automatically restart to finish reactions as soon as power returns
- User can login any of these controllers via a PC and wireless, blue-tooth connection.
- Each controller can download and upload data from and to PC
- User can monitor the ongoing reactions off site & to transmit data via PC and network.
Automatic digital documentation
- PRO3-PIN, PRO3's accompanying proprietary software, is able to automatically generate laboratory notes. Lab notes include operation log chart in time-sequence, time-temperature profile, data of reagent, reactant and solvent in use, product, reaction route, and related project information.
- Lab notes can be exported to Microsoft Word and Excel as well as read-only PDF formats.
Module-based pictorial-interface software (PRO3-PIN)
- Module-based design ensures quick-run modifications and is developed to reflect the user's inputs. For example, user can specify the preferred sequence, layer and layout; the software and firmware will be modified to meet the needs.
- Peripherals such as barcode reader can also be integrated with PRO3-PIN.
- Format of lab notes can be user-defined to be compatible with other systems, e.g. lab inventory system.
